Citizenship

Today in Activity Days we reviewed the 12th Article of Faith: "We believe in being subject to kings, presidents, rulers, and magistrates, in obeying, honoring, and sustaining the law." The girls talked about ways we can be good citizens of our community, country, and world. We came up with a few ideas of things we can do to be good citizens:

1. Respect others.
2. Obey the laws.
3. VOTE: Know the candidates and issues. (Primary election is next week, June 22nd, for all those in Utah.)
4. Reduce. Reuse. Recycle. (Thanks Jack Johnson!)

**Thoughts?

Its very hard for me to sustain the laws of this land seeing that they are so far out of whack with the Constitutional Laws that God had in mind. Abortion is now legal as is same sex marriage and a few others that directly contrast with my personal religious convictions. I am waiting for the time when this corrupt government will be taken out and we will be able to live with Christ-like laws protecting our freedoms that God did grant us. That's my two cents. :)
