Flattery or Insult?

So today one of my co-workers said that she and another co-worker had been wondering something and she was nominated to ask me... and then she said, "So, do you sew your own clothes?"

(I had on a particularly cute skirt today which several people had complimented me on.)

I wasn't sure whether to be flattered that she and another co-worker thought I was capable of sewing such masterpieces...

...or offended that all my clothes look so shoddy that they must be homemade.

Flattered. Homemade is the new HIP!

Flattered. Homemade is in and considering how creative you are, I'm sure they just assumed you are also an amazing seamstress.

Who cares what they thought? Chose to be flattered...you'll feel better anyway....
and you ARE amazing and I wouldn't be surprised if you could sew cute, fashionable, delightful clothes!

you should be flattered, because your clothes always look nice! They probably just wondered since they know you can do so many other wonderful things. (And skirts are mostly straight lines, right?) :o)
